Renting vehicle at Madrid Barajas 1. Am I allowed to drive into Portugal with it and back out for three days, 2 in Lisbon, and 1 down south near Algarve?

It's a very common thing to do. The only issue is making sure you rent a toll transponder near the Portuguese border in case you are going to drive through some of the electronic-only tolled highways (not all highways follow that scheme) in Portugal.

Thnaks. I was going to use Europcar, as I did in France, then went into Andorra and Spain and back to France. I appreciate your answers to my "Cra" rental question :(
