If you had a choice for a great beach, shopping, and relaxing experience in July with young adults and parents, which would you choose and where in the particular location. Thanks, Patty Any suggestions we are in a time crunch.

The Costa del Sol has been ruined by highrises and tourism, as has the middle of the Algarve but to a bit lesser extent. If you choose the Algarve, stay at either the east end (Tavira, beaut. beaches) or the west end (Salema, absolutely beaut beaches). Lagos is close to Salema for shopping, etc. Read Rick's take on these two areas in his Spain and Portugal books. Try and pick them up at your local library. We much prefered the Algarve.
