is there a way to find out what the costs of tolls will be so that we can plan to have the correct amount of cash? we're particularly interested in tolls from chartres to versailles and from chartres to cdg airport. thanks.

Chartres to Roissy is under ten euro. Chartres to Versailles is under five. All the toll plazas give change. I think the most I've ever paid in one day was around fifity euro and that was a length of the country run.

Before the Euro became the coin of the land, I used to call paying the numerous tolls on the French highways as "being de-franked."

MaryJane Check to see if the tollways take credit cards. Or they may only take the cards with chips which the US credit cards do not have. Bobbie
