Cost of Day Trip in Lucerne

Could anyone tell me the cost of a Steamer from Lucerne to Vitznau (or other port) that when reached we could ride a cog train to the top of either Mt. Pilatus or Mt. Rigi...also would like to know the cost of the cog train and the time we should allow for all of the above. Leaving in less than a week so quick response greatly appreciated!

Swiss rails have packages for these kinds of trips. Two years ago for about 50 US, we took the train from Zug (you could start in Lucerne or Zurich) to the end of the lake (don't remember the name of the stop) and walked two blocks to the Cog rail to the top of Mt. Rigi. Think it ran about every 30 minutes. Could have taken a second Cog rail down to the Luzern side instead we followed one of the trails down to the Cable car station between 2 and 3 hours (we had packed a lunch.) The package included a coupon for an ice cream sunday at the restaurant next to the cable car station. Took the cable car down to the lake Luzern and from there a boat to Luzern and the train back to Zug. It was an all day excursion because we had dinner in Luzern before heading back to Zug.

For packages, look on www.pilatus.ch or www.rigi.ch You can also get the Rigi price for the boat from Luzern to vitznau and cogwheel train up to rigi Kulm from SBB.ch. Just enter Luzern as you start, Rigi Kulm as your finish, and "via" Vitznau. It shows 70 CHF one-way with no pass or card discount. The Rigi website may show a RT price, maybe with return via the cablecar down to Weggis and boat back from there.
