Should I book my ferry to go to Corsica from Italy before I leave Canada or just get there early and hop on, like I do on Canadian ferries? I won;t have a car, just be walking on.

I did it last year because I decided to go about two hours before I did so. No problems, but that was Genova - Bastia, have no idea about any of the other routes. Price was a bit steep it seemed, maybe 50-60 euros without a car. Have no idea if advanced would have been better.

We just turned up and paid there and then. That was Livorno to Bastia(about three hours) then Ajaccio to Genoa(overnight).
