Hi, We have 4 nights for Cordoba, and Seville, and we take the express train from Madrid at 10:00 AM. Please advise us whether we should spend one night in Cordoba, and three nights in Seville, or two and two each city?
I have just found a note which suggests that I should stay in seville, and take a day trip to Cordoba because Cordoba is pretty dead at night for nightlife in comparison to seville.
I was in Cordoba for 2 nights and Seville for 4. I liked Cordoba more. Perhaps spend the first night in Cordoba, then train to Seville on the second evening. That gives you one night, but allows you most of 2 days to sightsee. I went to the Royal Stables for the Equestrian Show in Cordoba - probably the best thing to do at night. In Seville, there are flamenco shows in the evenings. To get a quick immersion in Spanish history, take the tour offered by the Tourist Information in Cordoba, to Medinat Al-Zahara - with the guided tour. It's one of the best things I did in 3 weeks in Andalusia.
I'm with Chani, I really enjoyed staying in Cordoba and would recommend one night there. With only 4 nights total, I'd spend the other 3 in Sevilla.
Unless you have an unusual interest, you'll want 3 nights in Seville and 1 night in Cordoba, because Seville is substantially larger. You're also right that Cordoba is much less lively at night.
Yes, I will follow all of your advices': first night in Cordoba, and 3 nights in Seville.
Again, thank you very much for your inputs.
