Copenhagen Cruise terminal

Here's more information that I learned the hard way on my cruise because it's just impossible to get in advance. The Copenhagen cruise terminal has no ATM machine. You need Kronen to take a tram or get one of the free bikes. In the covered street across from the terminal are gift shops. They accepted US dollars and gave us Kronen change for the bikes but the bikes were nowhere to be found and they weren't sure where they are located. So even though Copenhagen has free bikes at the terminal and supposedly all over town, we never saw any in racks anywhere. It was a very long walk from the terminal into town and back.

I am beginning to look at NCL Baltic cruises, so I am finding your posts to be quite informative. Would the gift shops exchange dollars or Euro, or give you enough cash to take the tram into town? Or would you recommend buying Kronen in the US before the trip?

Hi Terry, I should have read this first. Yes, we gave the store clerk a US $20.00 bill to buy a E3.00 shot glass and he gave us plenty of change in Kronen. Check the tram routes though. There is only one into the town center and it takes you to the train station, which isn't a bad starting point. The #26 bus is even better. It comes right in front of the cruise ship terminal and stops all over town.
