I'm looking for information on cooking schools or classes in Spain. There is a lot of stuff on the internet about these types of offerings, but would like to hear from anyone who has actually registered for and participated in one. I plan to make this part of my 2008 2-week vacation in Spain/Portugal. Thanks!

we did a small cooking class in barcelona. it was through a bar called the Travel Bar (a british bar). it was 18e and we walked to a nearby restaurant where we made tapas, sangria, chicken paella, and gazpacho soup. it was very informal. we physically got to make the sangria, put the tapas together (bread, cheese, salami) and basically watched and at times helped with the soup and paella. there were about 15 of us english speakers. the lady teaching was really nice. it was a great price for the dinner and one of my favorite things I did in Barcelona. It wasn't a formal cooking class by any means and it was mostly a younger crowd and very fun. hope that helps.
