I've been doing some searching around for April 2-5 of our trip, which will be spent in Barcelona. We're looking for something around $100 - $125 US per night. What I seem to be finding is the places further into the tourist areas in this price range are quite a bit more expensive than we were hoping. I'm using a combination of Rick Steves' Spain 2009 book and TripAdvisor. But I found the Condado Hotel on TripAdvisor and it is ranked #14 of 622 hotels. The downside being about a mile to the Ramblas area. However that doesn't bother us much as we tend to walk all day during our European trips. The important thing is that the hotel is clean and a comfortable place to crash after a day of sightseeing.
Has anyone had any experience with the Condado Hotel?
