In January I bought 2 e-tickets from Classictic (based in Germany) for a concert in Paris, May 1, at Eglise de la Madeleine. This concert did not exist. There was a concert that night but it had nothing to do with the tickets we had. We were out 59 euros. I have contacted by phone & e-mail the Classictic people, to no avail. So, stay clear of Classictic and tell your friends.
What a shame. One of the worst parts is you only have so much time to contact your credit card company (usually one or two months from when you are billed for a transaction). Purchasing something so far ahead (normal practice for people planning European trips) can affect your right to challenge a charge for a product that wasn't delivered.
Norma, have you tried contacting your cc company? You certainly were not properly informed for a concert you thought was one thing, but ended up being something else.
Well, on a positive spin, at least it was not a ton of money. 59 euros is a lot but it could have been much greater
Visa has begun a "dispute" investigation and I am optimistic that I will be refunded the money. In the meantime, I hope all will heed my warning about Classictic. The happy ending to that evening in Paris was that the concert we paid the extra 50 euros for was superb !
Just to let you know that Classictic did refund my 58 euros, though they never did reply to my pleading e-mails. So, all's well, etc.
Yay! Congratulations on the successful end to your dispute!
