I am renting an apartment in Paris which has France-Telecom-orange which I have connected my laptop to. I can get internet but not my hotmail nor my on line banking with Bank of America. The screen oomes up "expired" Help

Try typing into the box of you browser just "www.hotmail.com" (without quotes). For BofA try "https://www.bankofamerica.com"

The bank's internet servers are detecting that you are trying to come in from a foreign IP address. You'll need to call your bank for instructions on how to validate your logon.

It may be the system you are trying to use. I have had no trouble accessing BofA or Yahoo! from France when using hotel or internet-cafe terminals. Try to get an "English" keyboard; if that isn't available, there is a way to switch the "European" keyboard to English. Ask the attendant at the internet-cafe.
