Can this be done in 13 or 14 days? 5 nights in Paris, train to Liege, 2 nights, then car rental for tour of Battle of Bulge sites, then train to Bruge through Brussels (2 nights), 2 nights in Delft, then train to London to visit son and family in Richmond, 2 or 3 nights. Home from LHR. Too ambitious? Thanks in advance.

Can be done, if a little rushed. But any specific reason why you want to stay in Liege, other than as a base for seeing Bulge-related sites? It's a pretty ugly city.
What Tom said about Liege. Other than that it sounds ok to me. From Delft you can ferry from Rotterdam (Hoek van Holland) to Harwich then train into Liverpool Street, London, or you can train to Brussels then Eurostar.
You could take the train from Paris to Luxembourg, rent the car there & then visit the American cemetery on the east side of the city (Patton is buried there). Continue to the town of Bastogne for the night...it's small but has a couple of good hotels & restaurants. Visit the museum there the next day & see some battlefield areas. Might as well drive the car on to Brugge... it's only about a 2½ hour drive.
Thank you all for your comments and suggestions. Your help gives us additional ideas on where to go, what to see and where to stay.
Happy Travels. Dave
