Our family will arrive in Paris from US on a Sat AM in late May. We leave the next afternoon to pick up a Rick Steves' Tour in Chartres. We have been to Paris before but want to see the Orsay again on Sun AM. Would it be helpful to avoid the Orsay line by buying a combined ticket on Sat PM to the Orangerie? (I would love to see the water lily panels). How long a line should I expect at the Orangerie?
Perhaps my question is too specific.
Can someone tell me if the combination tickets are still available?
Looks like an excellent plan. Yes, the 16 euro "passport" ticket is still sold, entitling you entry to not only the permanent collections but also the special exhibits at both museum. You can buy Musee d'Orsay tickets on line, but the website is in French. I have never encountered more than a few people ahead of me in line at the Orangerie.
