We are traveling from Moselkern to Cochem to take a day cruise. We'll be leaving from Cochem that night to Brussels. I am getting conflicting info concerning luggage lockers at the train station. Does anyone know for sure if there are lockers at the Cochem Train Station? Thanks!

Jan, I found a German Deutsche Bahn website that lists info about individual German train stations. It says there are no luggage lockers (Gepaeckaufbewahrung - Nein = luggage storage - no) at Cochem Bahnhof. Incidentally, they also have no "Toiletten" at the Cochem Bahnhof. Can you call the cruise line and ask if they have luggage storage on the boat?

I really need to start taking more pictures of stations in Germany when I travel there. Last year I went back to Füssen just to take a picture of the lockers at the station there just to show people who come out on the train from Munich that they can stow their bags there. Anyway, I am surprised that there are no lockers (Schließfächer) in Cochem because there is enough room on the platform and definitely enough room downstairs by the ticket counters, but I didn't take pictures so I don't know for sure. BTW, a Gepäckaufbewahrung is technically a check room, and is normally noted separately, so it's lack doesn't necessarily rule out lockets. However, I have found this website which would seem to indicate a private check room in the Bahnhof.
