Off to Spain on the barcelona/madrid RS trip on june 26. with bi-lingual grndaughters - woo hoo!
So, levis, chinos, or does it matter? Saw lots of bluejeans it Italy, but Spain?
Also, shorts or no for the grndaughters? neither wear shrt shorts or show whale-tails, but bermudas & the like,OK?

Jim - I think you'd dress for Spain (in summer) similar to Italy. You don't say how old your granddaughters are - little girls, shorts would be fine. Older teens - well they will most likely encounter other teens who look just like them. But they shouldn't have too skimpy clothing.
And generally speaking, I find jeans too hot for summer travel (my teen daughter did too), but my husband and son had no trouble wearing jeans most places.
