I am travelling to Leuven and then to Chaterellaut France at the end of April to mid-May. Can someone suggest men's clothing that would be appropriate for the climate? I am looking for something that is really light to pack in keeping with Rick Steves' pack light motto.

Belgium in April varies, but I've never experienced anything particularly cold at that time of year there. A light jacket with a sweater is probably the most you'll need. More than likely, though, expect at least some rain.
