In mid-Sept, admission to the stairs of the Eiffel Tower close early at 6 pm, while the lift stays open late. I want to climb to the 2nd floor, around 5:30 and take the lift down a couple of hours or more later. Does anyone know if I have to buy the going-down ticket for the lift at the bottom, before I climb the stairs? Or can I buy it once I arrive at the 2nd level? I wonder if I can order just one-way going down ticket online...hmmm, it doesn't look like it on their website. I'd just try and take the lift up and down, but I lost a whole bunch of weight and I'm excited to take my sexy new self UP the stairs!! But how do I get a ticket to get down after 6 pm?
I don't know if you need a ticket to go down the elevator. Have you checked their website?
I'm sure you don't need a ticket to go down. I've been up the ET more times than I can count and never needed to show a ticket to go down.
I had the same experience as Susan. I wasn't asked for a ticket to go down after my climb.
