We will be staying in the Cinque Terra area in late July and then heading to Auzon, France. Would appreciate any suggestions on our itinerary. We will be traveling via train.

There is no train station in Auzon. The closest station is in Arvant. It's very small so it's not likely there are any taxis in town. Brioude is south of Arvant and on the same train line. You could take the train as far as Avignon and spend the night there. In the morning you could travel Avignon-Nimes-Brioude by train. I found this taxi service for Brioude. I suggest that you take the train from the Cinque Terre to either Avignon or Lyon. Spend the night in either city, pick up a rental car in the morning, and drive to Auzon.
