Hi, We have decided to change some plans and are now wanting to go fom Chur to Calais in France. Has anyone done this trip by Train and can tell us the route. Th Internet where we are staying keeps timing out before the rail timetables load. Thanks

Chur -> Zurich Zurich -> Paris gare de l'Est or gare de Lyon depending on when you want to go. Cross Paris to gare du Nord.
Paris Nord ->Calais. You can book most of these at www.tgv-europe.com, but if you are in Chur now as it sounds like I'd go to the station - if you want to go there NOW the cheap tickets will have sold out.

Thank you, your advice was good and we are organized. :) Have a very short time between arriving in to Gare de Lyon and leaving from Gare Nord..........would it make sense to get a taxi. We are assuming the rail person would not have been able to book the connecting trains if it wasn't possible to make the connections?.??? Eden

I tend to book trains in separate legs but I've heard some relatives complain about officially-created itinaries with very tight connections in Paris. How tight is it?

We don't know our way round Paris or the train system - Would a taxi be a better option? We are a bit nervous, we'll be doing this change over in 12 hrs time. Thanks Eden

The RER will probably be faster than a cab unless there is serious disruption.
