We arrive in Paris Dec 7 and plan to take the train to Strasbourg mid week, and stay somewhere in that area returning back to Paris the following week. Any must see Christmas Markets? Also any ideas of where to stay in Strasbourg and the surrounding area? ANY AND ALL HELP!!

Must-see is the christmas market in the old-town of Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany. It's about an hour from Straßburg.

Rue Cler basically becomes a Christmas Market, but not sure how early it starts. I wouldn't call it a "must-see", but then again, I don't like that term.
