Suggestions on hotels/B&B's etc for Christmas Eve/Day? Also, any restaurant suggestions and sights. Thanks!

Star Inn downtown or the Goldene Ente are very different, but each good in their own way. Star Inn is newer, cheap, 5 min walk to the old town. Goldene Ente is historic, moderately priced and right in old town.

On Christmas eve, you can take the old steam train to the 'Silent Night villages'. Last year, we took he Sound of Music tour on Christmas day, did the salt mine the next day.
