Our family holiday trip looks like it could include innsbruck Dec. 23-26. We are hoping to do one day of skiing, would like to attend christmas eve/christmas day services and christmas marts. First, is this a realistic expectation? Second, any suggestions of where to stay that a day of skiing might be included?

"First, is this a realistic expectation?" Yes indeed, although be prepared to pay a lot for your lodgings. I have no specific recommendations, but you'll have easy transportation to the slopes from any hotel within the city. The pistes sit quite literally in Innsbruck's backyard.
