I am traveling for the 4th time to Amsterdam, this time with my 19 year old daughter at Christmas. Does anyone have a recommendation for a memorable Christmas dinner or brunch experience? We will definately be eating on the cheap for the other 7 days but would love for this to be a special meal for both of us. I have budgeted about 120 E, any ideas?
If anyone is going to be in Paris during xmas, today's New York Times travel section has a list of restaurants that are open:

FIBO !!! This is a silly Automat Restaurant there are several around central Amsterdam . Trust me you will remmeber this fun snack meal your whole life and tell the story of Christmas dinner at the Automat your whole life . Shall I tell you about the time we were remodeling and had chilli for dinner?? Have a great time FYI the city museum is conveient and interesting .
I think I would look for a nice large hotel that will be putting on a lovely Christmas dinner buffet. Think Sheraton, Marriot, Hilton, etc. Check their websites and write them an email to find out times, price, etc and make a reservation to be sure.
I think Jo's advice is good. Check out the larger hotels. Christmas in Holland is mostly a religious and family holiday. Gifts are exchanged on Christmas Eve.
