Going to Paris in 2 weeks with Granddaughter who loves chicken strips ! are they available ? Staying at Leveque in Rue Cler area Kathy
Paris does have fast food places, and of course McDonald's (unfortunately), so you may be able to find such things. But if not, be prepared to find something she likes! Perhaps she might like delicious crepes with bananas and Nutella instead -- I know lots of kids that do!
not a fan of fast food-usually only go to McD's for "Americano coffee"-but if we have to we will.Crepes sound great to me-and hopefully will to her also Kathy
McDos (as it is called here) as well as KFC will be possibly the only bet for chicken strips.
The crepe notion mentioned prior is a great option - ham and cheese or just cheese is available beyond the sweet versions.
We actually found chicken strips in many places in Paris - they're on the children's menus.

Kathy, the above link is Tom's Guide to Paris. You might find it useful ... granddaughter might get to like something else - like crêpes with Nutella ... Paris is a very good place for that.
bon appétit ... P
There is also the french version of McDonalds called Quick, at least its kinda more cultural than McD's.
Croque monsieur (sp?). If she likes grilled ham and cheese where the cheese is mainly on the outside... This is comfort food, French-style. :-)
Croque monsieur is the ultimate comfort food. Thanks... now I'm drooling over my keyboard! :)
OK, I'll be the uncultural one of the bunch. Travel with my kids was always easier if we mixed new cultural experiences (food, museums, parks, languages) with something familiar and comfortable (McDonalds, pizza, DVD's from home). My now teens always list sitting at pizza places or watching a movie and reflecting on an exciting day as one of their favorite memories. As near as I can figure chicken fingers and grilled cheese are ubiquitous -- you can probably find them anywhere.
Thanks, everyone for being so helpful. We leave next week.I remember croque monsieur from our last France trip about 10 years ago.Staying in the Rue Cler area so,if all else fails she can eat fresh fruit and vegetables with some cheese !
Kathy,
There is a chinese restaurant on Rue Cler where she can get sesame chicken.

Adding one more to the pile. Our 6 year old chicken lover found plenty to eat in Paris. We did have McD's a few times, tried Quick and found the cafes and other restaurants especially accommodating when our daughter smiled and said bonjour:)
One unsung standby is the baguette sandwich. Ham and cheese or just ham and butter. We have pictures of my daughter and I in Luxembourg Gardens eating these with the dreamiest looks on our faces. These are also wonderful train food as they are available at all the stations and are usually excellent.
One thing we found. Hungry kids will eat! Have a wonderful time in Paris. So envious!
WARNING, warning, ;)
My children thought the only real cheese was an orange block of cheddar, and of course mozzerella on pizza. Other cheeses were " stinky " and " wierd" .. just a warning, LOL
PS The oldest one has grown out of this somewhat , but my youngest ( 11) still prefers "oange" cheese to all others, but will allow gouda and havarti, LOL
