I can only speak to Honfleur so I can't compare for you. I liked Honfleur. The area around the old port is very pretty. Lots of boats, resturants, and shops. There is also a self service laundry that we even drove from Rouen to Honfleur to use. We couldn't find one in Rouen but maybe we weren't looking in the right places. Others will have better suggestions.
