Hello,
Can I bring dairy products (cheese) from France duty free for personal use? I've read that EU doesn't allow visitors to bring dairy products. Is it true for US also?

Although I've never tried to import cheese, in my experience, customs usually sieze any perishable food items.

In general, hard cheeses are permitted to be brought into the US, but soft cheeses are not. But, if there is any kind disease outbreak from any country you have been to, Customs officers have the authority and discretion, to refuse any kind of product into the US they deem unsafe. Make sure you declare all foods on your landing card. For more info go to this site:
