I will be in Paris in early October and my plan is to visit the Louvre on my final morning before leaving Gare du Nord at 3:15pm. I will have to check out of my hotel before going to the museum and so will have to take my luggage with me (doesn't seem to make sense to leave them at the hotel all the way back near the Eiffel Tower). I know that the Louvre has a baggage check and I had a few questions regarding it. 1) The baggage check is under the Pyramid, but I'll have a Museum Pass and so would be able to enter through the Passage Richelieu. Can I still enter PR with my luggage, or do I have to go through the Pyramid? 2) Is there anything that I can't have in my luggage? I'm thinking maybe if I decide to pick up a bottle of wine. 3) I'd been thinking about also running over to the Orangerie, to see "Water Lilies" if nothing else. Can I leave my baggage at the Louvre and then swing back by and pick it up on my way to the station? 4) This isn't about baggage, but more of a general Louvre question. Exactly how early do I need to get there to avoid a long line at Passage Richelieu? I'll be there on a Monday morning. Any help that you guys could would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
