any ideas about where a single female could stay in mittenwald? i'm looking for something on the cheaper end, but would still like it to be clean and nice. if i have to pay a little more for that, it's okay. the hostel is full. i'm leaving in two days -

We stayed at the Pension Schwalbennestl in Mittenwald in 2005 and 2006. Very reasonable (25 to 27 Euro per night/single), very good buffet breakfast, fantastic views from the room balconies and a very nice host, Frau Bader. Very safe area and just a short walk to the pedestrian zone.
The website is only in German, but Frau Bader and her daughter do speak some English.
