Cheap rooms in Copenhagen and near Frankfort airport

We are going to be in Copenhagen for one night and would like to find cheap lodging....do they have pensiones or zimmers or sobes there? Also have an overnight in Frankfort and need a cheap room near the airport, and accessable by public transportation.

Hello Carol. I was at Copenhagen, and I never heard of a cheap room in Copenhagen. A decent place that is one of the lower priced places for overnight accomodation in Copenhagen is the B & B of Annette and Rudy Hollender, located in Christianshavn, at Wildersgade 19, near Torvegade. (ride in a Metro train). Read about it in the book "Rick Steves' SCANDINAVIA". If you want to go direct to that B & B from the Copenhagen airport, ask Annette (in E-mail) for directions for doing that. The fastest way to do that is to approach the Christianshavntorv Metro station from the opposite direction from traveling from the Central train station in Copenhagen.

Hi, The best thing to do is to google "cheap hotels" Frankfurt. Most places have photos. Frankfurt city is only a 15 min. train ride from the airport. Costs about 3 euro to ride the train into town. Anything close to the airport will be expensive. Come into town instead and see the sights. There are also hostels there, for about 20 euro a night that are fairly decent. One is right next to the main train station.
Have fun!

In Mainz, about 20 min from FRA by S-Bahn, there's an Ibis hotel 1 block from the Mainz Römisches Theater train station, the first station after the tracks cross the river. Mainz is a nice place to overnight - nice old town area not far from the above station.

The Hotel Stadt Coblenz in Mainz is also a budget place but a little further away from the station.
