Tim from Minot, N.D. is really the best with the Paris Metro and RER. Perhaps, he'll be along soon. In the meantime, CLICK HERE to see a general map of where the six Paris train stations are located. CLICK HERE for a map of the Paris underground train systems. If you enlarge the map and look closely, you'll see the two train stations that you are looking for. Tim can give you the precise route.

All stations are connect via the subway. And taxi work well if time is a little short or too much luggage.

The Magenta RER station is located between Gare de l'Est and Gare du Nord. You can walk there from Gare de l'Est in less than ten minutes. Take the RER E one stop to Haussmann-St Lazare (four minutes). The fare is €1.60. Take a five-minute walk to Gare St Lazare.

If you don't want to haul your luggage below ground and back up again, take bus #43 directly between the stations (same fare). Or take a taxi. The fare won't be all that much for this short ride.
