does anyone know whether or not i can take my baggage(backpack and daypack)on this exteneded gondola trip over the alps? i want to start in chamonix and continue my trip into italy on the other side. thanks
short answer. i don't know. long answer. i just did the trip and had - partner and i - two large daypacks; no problem. although i didn't see anyone with a large bp on the helbronner, i can't imagine thqat there are restrictions. my guess is that climbers do it regularly.
what equals "small carry on luggage"? my husband and i each will have one of RS's convertible carry-ons and a day pack each--thanks
rich---how long was the trip? and what was the temperature? we are going in september. did you continue into italy from la palud? we are thinking of going to aosta from there for several days---ANY up-to-date info would be GREAT!
one other question---is it possible to make the trip and then take ground transportation back to chamonix on the same day? thanks
