Hi,my wife and i will be in Chamonix for a few days at the end of May.Is this considered peak season yet?do we need reservation for the cable car to Aquille du midi?also ,will the cable car to Point Helbronner be running again?Thanks for the info.

We were there last May at that time. It was not peak season and many restaurants, etc were still closed. We bought our tics for the ADM around 9 am and immediately boarded the cable car ( bigger than I expected with at least 35 people on board) and, yes, the car for HP was up and running. When you buy your tic you can get a combination tic with a trip to the glacier which is a must see IMO-very scenic train ride and you can walk down to the glacier.
