I need to go from Chamartin station to the Madrid airport. I see I can take the 10 to the 9 to the 7 to the 4 to the 8 subway lines but I'm wondering if we should just get a taxi from Chamartin station to the airport. Any chance there is a bus that goes the 4 or the 8 train line?

There is a bus 200 (I think that is the number) runs between the De America stop that services 9,7,4,6 and the airport but not sure that is an improvement. A taxi probably is a best choice. There is a TI at Chamartin so you might check with them. My guess would be that there is a bus between Chamartin and the airport. You can also take 10 and change to 8 at Nuevos Ministerios which would save all of the other changes.
