CGD Aeroport to Paris and Return

Hi, plan to use the B-RER to St Michael RER/Metro Station transfering to C-RER to Invalides Metro to Ecole Militare. My questions are: 1) When I purchas ereg RER-B ticket can I purchase a round trip returing a week later on Saturday? 2) My interpretation of Rick S. on page 34 is that one ticket will allow me to transfer to each line without buying more tickets. Can anyone confirm this? 3) My wife and I will in in Paris for a week will likley use two Carnet books, are these also good for the RER to Versailles? I am leaning toward the Passe Navigo as our initial Saturday and Sunday sights are in walking distance particulary if this also works on the RER's outside the City, Rick S. page 28-29 is not clear on this does anyone know?

  1. I've never done it, but don't think there's a financial advantage to a RT ticket or even if there is such a thing, but if there is, it won't expire and they aren't dated. I've used metro tickets weeks after they were bought......2. One ticket will let you move around in the core area with any number of transfers, it dies when you finally pop above ground. 3. You could physically get there, but you could't get out the turnstsile...fines,etc, for hopping..pay the full fare......4.The question not numbered is unclear, but seems to be answered by the preceeding.

Hi, Tom - I've actually been to Denville; my sister-in-law and her family used to live there...very pretty! We finally got them back to Texas where they belong ;-).........I have 2 webpages for you. The first one tells you all you need to know about RER b/n CDG and Paris both ways. For round-trip info look at the top of the "Paris By Train" website page, and click on 'Paris TO CDG by Train', also (each way has its own tricks to know). Pay attention to the express train info and where and how to pay for the tkts. The second one is the RATP website (official Paris metro page); this particular page explains exactly how and where you can use your tickets (called "t+tickets"). Explore BOTH websites; they are absolutely worth your time.... FIRST WEBSITE...http://parisbytrain.com/charles-de-gaulle-airport-cdg-to-paris-by-train/............SECOND WEBSITE...http://www.ratp.fr/.....(on the RATP site, (1)change it English, (2)'hover' over "Discover Paris", (3)click on "T+Ticket).....Your RS book should tell you about the RER trip to Versailles; be sure to take the correct train and get off at the correct station!
