What it the best way to reach CERN from Geneva? Are there things to visit at CERN without a tour, such as exhibits?

Check out the website - i think they have a visitor section. And there are probably plenty of bus routes to get there since so many people work there from all over CH and F towns near it.

Actually I want to see CERN because a student of mine talks about it and I want to send him a postcard from there. It's more about the science than a movie.
