We are going to Germany in May and would like to have available cell phones (2) to us during the two weeks we are there. Any ideas on where/how to find the "pay as you go" phones when we get to Frankfurt? Thanks!
There are phone stores everywhere, but if you go to one of the larger electronic stores, such as Saturn, Media Markt or Conrad, you can pick up a cheap phone that is for Germany only, for about 9 euro or so. Ones that will be good for all of Europe with a purchase of a SIM card for each country will cost about 30 euro.
Thank you Jo for your answer. We will be using the phones just in Germany for two weeks and then returning to the USA and leaving the phones for recycle. Do you know if the 9 euro cost includes minutes loaded on the phone, or is that something we must do (like a Trac phone) call, load, pay, etc. Thanks!
