CDG to Paris via Taxi on a Sunday?

My husband and I will be coming into CDG early Sunday morning. We do not feel comfortable taking the RER or AF bus/Metro combo on our first day, so we were considering a taxi or shuttle. It seems like (from the other most recent posts) that a taxi during non-peak/rush hour times would be cheaper than the Super Inter shuttle. Would you agree? How is traffic/transportation on a Sunday at CDG/Paris?

I am a firm believer in taking the Air France shuttle, as cabs are far too expensive and the bus isn't going to cheat you. However, early in the morning traffic shouldn't be so bad.

We went from the Bercy area (Gare de Lyon) TO CDG recently about 6 or 6:30 am and it was extremely
fast. Less than 30 minutes. I thought I was a passenger in an ambulance.

I travel to Paris a few times a year and always take a cab in from the airport. Taxi stand is right outside baggage claim, no waiting. I have NEVER had a bad experience with a taxi driver from the airport - they are honest, will get you directly to your hotel/apartment without ping anyone else off and the cost is reasonable (under 50 euro even with traffic). Sunday will be a piece of cake as traffic will be lighter heading into Paris. Good luck! By the way... write down the address of your hotel/apartment on an index card before you leave and hand it to the driver. Make sure you include the number that looks like a zip code - that tells the driver what neighborhood (arrondissement) in Paris.
