CDG to Paris, RER/metro

Our rented apt. is close to the St. Michel metro stop. So I should be able to get on the RER B at CDG and take it to the Saint Michel-Notre Dame stop and then connect to the metro stop. All on the same ticket for ~8 euros, right? What about the return trip the airport? I see there is a HSBC ATM close the trains and am planning to get Euros there. Good idea? Or should I get euros before I leave home? Do Ally Bank cards have a chip?

No need to "connect to the metro stop" unless you want to continue on to somewhere else. The RER B goes to St. Michel and that's all you need to know. When arriving, just follow the signs to exit the labyrinth. When leaving for home, follow the RER B signs. It's all pretty well marked. The St. Michel is a great stop and place to stay, by the way. It connects to almost everything. Good choice. 8Euro, yes. Getting Euros there is best. You will see machines everywhere, including CDG. Don't know about chips, but almost all ATM's take American cards. Also, most things can be paid for with CCards, including (if I remember correctly) the RER B tickets, so there is no need to feel frantic about getting cash. You should be able to get into Paris, get a meal, pay for a hotel, etc, all without cash if need be. But more likely, you will find it hard to walk anywhere for more than 5 minutes without seeing a cash machine. Enjoy!...

Thanks, Randy! I was fairly certain of all those things, but it's nice to hear it from someone else too!
