I am looking at the train/metro maps of Paris and am feeling very intimidated! Can anyone tell me the best way to get to my hotel in Marais area? The address is 8 rue des Mauvais Garçons 75004 Paris. Thank You!!

Alyssa, go to parisbytrain.com for easy to follow instructions from CDG to Gare du Nord. From Gare du Nord treat yourself and take a taxi to your hotel. Follow the signs in the Gare to the taxi rank outside the station. By the way, tomsguidetoparis.com is a very helpful site as well.

Thank You! Some really helpful info. on these sites. Good to know that my credit cards wont work, Hah, I planned on using them until i could find a cash machine. Guess that plan isnt going to work!

There are ATM machines at the airport so you can get some euros before you leave to go into the city.

Hotel de Ville and Saint-Paul are stations on metro line 1. Hotel de Ville is closer to your hotel. Take the RER B from CDG to the Chatelet-Les Halles RER station. Walk through the connecting tunnels to the Chatelet metro station and take line 1 one stop to Hotel de Ville. Warning: Chatelet is a huge transportation hub and can be a bit intimidating until you get to know the system. If you want to avoid it, take the RER B to Gare du Nord, metro line 5 to Bastille, and metro line 1 either one stop to Saint-Paul or two stops to Hotel de Ville. Whichever route you take, follow the correspondance (connections) signs when you need to transfer.
