We are traveling from the airport on Sunday June 8 (the final weekend of the D-Day anniversary events) starting about 10 am. Any idea how long it might take? Is this a heavy traffic time or are those French folks as happy on trains as I hear they are? Thanks for any guidance, as we're coming off of a CA to PARIS flight and I'm trying to guage the do-ability of getting right into a rental car for this drive.

Thanks much - I have been to Mont St. Michel before but years ago, and we've not rented a car in Europe before, only in US.

we don't at all understand what you mean . . .
We were planning to purchase the CDW there, having read the rental car info on this site. While in the US we're confident our CC covers it but thought it would be worth the small cost to just get their coverage. Why the GPS? Maps out for some reason?
