CDG into Paris

Help! We will be arriving early Sunday Sept 14th at CDG and need to get to Arc de Triomphe to meet a friend who I haven't seen in 30 years (I just reconnected with my "pen pal" from England & I don't even know what she look like now). Rick suggests the Air France bus--any other ideas? Where do we get off the bus? How busy will Sunday morning be? Also, can anyone recommend if the Cafe Lateral would be a good meeting spot? Thanks.

Based on the destination l'Arc de Triomphe - the Tour de France bus would be ideal because it stops at the Arc - Charles de Gaulle Etoile. The bus stops literally across the street.

This is assuming you want to take your luggage all the way there?

Sunday in general for the bus should not be to busy.

I'm sure that Jona will notice her error...she was up late..and meant to write AIR FRANCE bus, not Tour de France...Sunday morning will probably be fairly quiet..I don't know the Café Lateral but if you want an easy to find, totally NOT chic meeting place, there's a MC D's on the left going down the Champs Elysées from the Arc de Triomphe...and on the right..near Metro Georges V..there's Ladurée where the tea will be a LOT better, even if it does wipe out your food budget for the day.

If you consider the RER train as an alternative do not miss visiting a web site devoted to naviagating CDG and taking the train into Paris. Cost is 8 Euro.

Great web site to take the train, excellent directions with photos showing the route. Good for all three terminals.
