Is it worthwhile to visit both of King Ludwig's castles? (or just Neuschwanstein?) Anything else in the area not to miss? Innsbruck?

Barbara: Assuming you have a rental car, if this is your first trip to the area I suggest Neuschwanstein and then if you have a couple days visit the follwing places that are just a short drive away: Linderhof Castle (also by Ludwig), the church at Weis, & Ettal Monestary. RS also suggests visits to several very typical Germany and Austrian towns. There is a great drive from Germany through the Alps near Garmish to Innsbruck area. Innsbruck not high on my list to visit.Better to drive to Hall Austria for a small town experience. Best wishes
