Has anyone stayed at the Castle Liebenstein? I would love to stay in a castle and the price seems reasonable. Are there any other castles that you have stayed in?

We have not stayed at Castle Liebenstein but do have reservations at Castle Schonburg. It is most likely more expensive but staying in a castle has been on the top 5 things to do for my wife. http://www.hotel-schoenburg.com/castle-hotel-room-rates/index.html For us it will be a one night stay, we will be going with two other couples and all the girls are looking forward to this stay. Bacharach castle is a Youth Hostel (DJH). One night stay is 20.50 Euro (breakfast included). You have to become a HI member and reservation is a must. My son and I stayed in the Bacharach DJH (Castle Stahleck) last October. We came from Ruedesheim via KD line ferry to Bacharach. From the ferry landing we followed the signs to the castle. Neverending stair climb. I am 68 yrs old and with luggage - the climb just about did me in! We were given a small room in the tower (Turmzimmer). 1 bunk (upper and lower) and a single bed. We thought we had the room to ourselves - but at 8:30 pm a Japanese teen showed up to claim the upper bunk. His first night in Germany (came straight from Frankfurt airport). He spoke very little English. We showed him how to set up a bed in a German DJH. We laughed a lot and exchanged gifts the next day.
