As I put in another post regarding trains, my group will be staying in Bingen (on the Rhine) for several days in May. We need to visit relatives in Heilbronn on Saturday the 14th & are thinking of renting a car for that day only so we can start early & be flexible in our return time. My problem is figuring out a reasonably nearby town to pick up a car. Does anyone have suggestions, either for agency or location?

We picked up a car in Koblenz from AutoEurope. We were staying in St. Goar - took the train to Koblenz then a cab to the AutoEurope office. Bingen is even closer to Koblenz so it might be a possiblity.
Driving around the area is simple - once you get out of Koblenz - and lovely.
