Canadian Blackberry usage in Germany

Before I can provide any further information, it would help to know which cell network you're with and when you obtained your Blackberry? It's a VERY GOOD idea to get this sorted now, as the rates for data roaming can be horrendous! For one example, you might want to have a look at my Thread in the "General Europe" section regarding "Cell Phone Data Roaming".

If your Blackberry is with either Telus or Bell and is a few years old, it's likely that it uses CDMA technology (which isn't compatible with the "world standard" GSM technology) and therefore won't even work in Europe. There are a few "world edition" Blackberry models, but I believe those are "locked" so you'd have to use international roaming with your home cell network.
