I reserved (and paid for) Alhambra tickets a month or so ago, but now in Spain, the Caixi machines say they won't take this kind of card (same Visa I used to purchase). We are in Barcelona now - I've tried 2 different places with no success - the machines are set up to collect tickets, and work fine until I put the card info in. Any advice? I have a couple of weeks to figure it out, but sooner would be nice (RS sites makes it sound easy)
Is this the exact same card used to purchase, i.e. it has not expired in the meanwhile and you are using a new card? If the transaction went through you will have received a pdf file. If so, it contains all detail to assist at the Alhambra Ticket Office (along with the card) where it should be resolved.
Success - I used the La Caixa at Laietana and Princessa in Barcelona as recommended on another helpline post (though I think the one on the corner a 1/2 block away would work, too) The machines were totally different than the ones I'd tried previously. I think I was maybe trying a different brand of caixa or older machines. This worked as easily as it sounded like it would.

Yea! And thanks for letting us know; you may have saved someone else that panicked feeling, plus given them a solution. I'll remember this info when I finally make it to the Alhambra...
The machines at the Alhambra work just fine, if one can wait to get there. We picked ours up the day before and had a chance to look around and walk the public non-fee area. Nice.
Agree with previous poster. We tried various LaCaxia machines in Seville with no luck but no problem with the ones on site.
This April we went to the Alhambra office RS mentions as the machine on the street in Granada wouldn't work. Marian
