Hi Folks,
Is it possible to rent a tent and sleeping bag in Interlaken? What can you tell me about camping and/or bungalow accomodations in the valleys of Grindelwald or Lauterbrunen? How would I identify and reserva a bungalow? Does this need to be done now for a trip in July?

The biggest camping grounds in the area is in Latuerbrunen. Ricks has a description of it in his guidebook and I believe he also has it on one of his DVDs: www.camping-jungfrau.ch

There is a large campground at Stechelberg which is about 4 miles up the road from Lauterbrunnen. You can take a bus there from the Lauterbrunnen train station. The bus stop is across the street from the station.

Also, Stechelberg is where you pick up the gondola to get to Gimmelwald, Muerren and the top of the Shilthorn.
