I am going to France in October. Will be some campings open or all of them are closed by the end of September?
Please advise. Thanks.
Years ago we stayed a week in late October at a house in Provence, in St. Remy, which was next to a campground, and it was open and busy. I would think that the weather in the south of France is too nice for campgrounds to close up shop once Fall arrives. While the Loire might be different, the weather there should be good enough to justify campgrounds staying open. In early April this year we stayed in the Aveyron, not exactly a tourist hotbed that time of year nor a particularly warm climate, but the campground along the river was open.
Where in France? Makes a huge difference that time of year.
Loire Valley and southward to Nice.
Thanks to everybody. I'll take my chance and go camping with my tent.
