We (2) are in the early stages of planning to take the 800KM trail beginning at St Jean de Pied-de-Port. Interested in exchanging "lessons learned"with anyone who has taken the walk. Harold
There is a forum dedicated to the Camino. You might want to ask the same question there. http://www.caminodesantiago.me/board/el-camino-frances/ Haven't walked it (yet) but it's definitely on my bucket list...
Thank you very much. Exactly what we need. Harold
Hi Harold, I walked the Camino in 2010, I started in St Jean on May 22 and arrived in Santiago on June 23rd, 33 days of walking. I have quite a bit of information available to pass along, packing list, good websites to use, travel information, what ever you need. I'll PM you my email address too, here is a link to my blog I kept during my Camino. I also have information on how to get to St Jean from Pamplona I'll send along, a link to the Americans on the Camino where you can get a Pilgrims Passport that you'll need for the alburgues. I recommend flying into Madrid then taking the train to Pamplona, then the shuttle from Pamplona to St Jean. Ultreya, Barry http://bhcamino2010.blogspot.com/
OMG, Barry. I read your blog of 2010. That is so amazing. I really admire you for what you have done.
Muchas Gracias, Chun, I see you're from Las Cruces, I grew up in Gallup, but have lived in San Diego for almost 40 years now.
