When trying to bu tickets online at the official site, they ask for a European cell phone number and without it I do not seem to be able to purchase tickets online. Am I missing something - is there a way?

Probably you just need to put in your country and access code (001) in front of your area code, etc.
But, I wouldn't do it. What if the weather stinks at he time you've selected or you're tied up somewhere else? No refunds.

Great way to not waste time in line (which can be a couple hours). I have a European cell so I just put that number in when I book tickets for my groups, but I recall having to call them initially to get help setting up the account.

What date are you planning to visit the Eiffel tower? I am planning to visit in the first week of May but I am not able to buy tickets for May in advance?
Did anyone able to buy tickets for May? The calendar just showing April month.

I emailed the Eiffel Tower support from their website and they told me to wait until they release dates for the next few weeks. Looks like they are opening ticket purchase dates only for 4 weeks or so from the current date.

We were ther in Sept and the main line was long, so we just bought tickets to the Restaurant and went right in to the elevator. We had a beer and salad and then went outside for the views.
